Walter L. Erhardt, Jr., MD, FACS

Dr. Walter L. Erhardt graduated cum laude with his B.S.  from Roanoke College, Salem, Virginia, 1969.  He obtained his M.D. in 1973 from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Charlottesville, Virginia.

Dr. Erhardt completed his residencies in general surgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery at Vanderbilt University Hospital, Nashville, Tennessee.  He has maintained a solo private practice in Albany, Georgia since 1979.   Dr. Erhardt is board-certified  by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is licensed to practice medicine in both Georgia and Virginia.  In addition, he has served as an examiner for the American Board of Plastic Surgery since 1996.

Dr. Erhardt has been active, on a national level, in plastic surgery since 1980 and is a past President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS).  He has also been active in the Albany, Georgia medical community.  He has served as Chief of Surgery at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, been a member of medical mission teams to India and El Salvador, and is currently Chairman of the Division of Plastic Surgery at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
